Read Ephesians 1-3
Ephesians 3:20 – Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (NLT)
I love the passage from which this verse comes. Paul gives us a peek into his prayer life, specifically his prayers for fellow believers. He shares about how he prays that they would come to know and experience the depths of God’s love for them. Paul asked God to empower them with the inner strength through His Spirit so that they would be able to stand firm. And then Paul brings this beautiful string of requests to an end with this wonderful reminder. God is able to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think! If we truly believed this, how would your life be different today? What a powerful encouragement this verse brings to our souls! There is no sin, addiction, situation, relationship, or anything else that is beyond the power of God! The power of God at work in all who believe, the same power that raised Christ from the dead (!), can do far more than we can imagine. This is not a promise of a life with no problems. It is a promise that God is with us and can bring us through anything. So let us face whatever comes our way with confidence. Not because of who we are, but because of whose we are. All glory to God!
